WoW aka Women of the World, is a festival of talks, debates, performance and activism celebrating women and girls from Wednesday 5th - Sunday 9th March at London’s Southbank Centre.
Natch this is right up our street! Nothing says girl power like fierce nails, so the WAH team will be down Friday through til Sunday, from 10am-6pm doing special WoW manis from £10.
Head WAH Woman Sharmadean Reid will be sharing her pearls of wisdom on Friday, alongside Southbank Centre Patrons Manager Joanna Newell and author and journalist Hannah Pool on the topic of Why People Fail, commenting on the rules of Simon Reynolds’ book ‘How People Fail’. The talk will be chaired by editor of Cosmopolitan Louise Court, and cover strategies for defeating negativity, whilst discussing empowerment, entrepreneurship and helping women to find confidence, passion and drive.
As it’s International Women’s Day this Saturday 8th March, we thought we’d give a bit of a WAH history lesson to celebrate. Gather round, class is in session…
