Yesterday, Sunday 17th August, we headed south to Brixton Jamm for The Cookout Party.
The sun was (just about) shining, the Vita Coco was flowing, the chicken was barbecuing, and of course the tunes were pumping. What else could you possibly need? Oh, a ball pit. Obvs.
Our nail menu was inspired by all things ghetto fabulous…
We got everyone ready to rave the night away, with DJs playing until the early hours of the morning. You could even add a shot of rum to your coconut water for £2.50, which us Wah girls might’ve done once or twice once work was done!
Head to The Cookout on Twitter for more info on upcoming events.
On Saturday August 9th, the WAH crew headed down to Waterloo for the opening of House Of Vans.
Described as the “physical manifestation of the culture and creativity that have defined the Vans brand since 1966” the space underneath Waterloo station houses everything that feeds into the Vans ethos. An art gallery, a VansLab artist incubator space (where we set up), cinema, live music venue, premium café and bars, gifting suite and London’s only indoor skate park - of course.
We dished out complimentary manis to match the Vans distinctive branding. Free zines, great food, and of course hanging out with like-minded Wah gurls - what better way to spend a Saturday?
The House of Vans London will be open five days a week as well as hosting major live events at weekends. Check out the site for full listings and times!
